Aerospace engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the design, development, and maintenance of aircraft, spacecraft, and related systems such as propulsion, navigation, and guidance. Aerospace engineers work on the development of new aircraft and spacecraft, as well as the improvement of existing ones. They also work on the design and testing of aerospace systems, including propulsion systems, guidance and control systems, and structural components. Aerospace engineering can be divided into two main branches: aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. Aeronautical engineering deals with the design and development of aircraft that operate within the Earth’s atmosphere, while astronautical engineering deals with the design and development of spacecraft that operate outside the Earth’s atmosphere.
